No, not Rush Limbaugh, and not Andrew Orlowski–there’s an actual giant plastic Colossal Colon headed our way.
Big Blogger Dave Barry (I guess he’s famous for writing some other stuff too) crawled through the colon when it was in Miami. And if local bloggers want to meet up in Copley Square sometime between October 15 and 18, let’s do the same.
But let’s do lunch first–we might not feel like it later.

I have to admit I am intrigued by the description: “The Colossal Colon is a 40-foot long, 4-foot high replica of a human colon. Visitors who crawl through the colon, or look through the viewing windows, will see healthy colon tissue, colon disease, polyps and various stages of colon cancer. The Colon was modeled after a real colon taken from colonoscopy film footage and is extremely lifelike.” Plus you can get an Official Colossal Colon Passport with stamps and everything. Ok, count me in.

Yay! I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have with me when crawling through a huge diseased plastic colon than my daughter Mickey, aka Nature is Profligate.
