Where was the house that you lived in when you were seven?
If you know the address, you can find that house with Google maps, zoom in on the neighborhood that you remember, and download a satellite photo for yourself.
Then, upload your photo to Flickr (an account is free) and use the “Add notes” feature to draw little boxes around places you want to comment on.
If you want to see what other people have done with this, check out this Flickr search for memorymap + hometown.

Way cool, Betsy! I went and looked at the house where I grew up in Toledo. Funny thing is it looks just about the same — a tribute to my mother’s good taste. lol

Thanks, Kay! I stumbled across this and can’t wait to play with it some more.
Many times, “elderbloggers” get introduced to computers and the web by youngerbloggers evangelizing for email or photosharing.
Memory maps would be a much better place to start–because this is a place where you could have dialogue that lets the elderblogger contribute information of real value instead of a monologue where the elderblogger listens and tries to decipher a million new concepts.
